Everyday Fast Food

If you're like most people , you ate at McDonalds , Burger King, Taco Bell and other fast food several times. And you 've probably spent a good amount of time waiting in line to order, pay and pick up your

food. Restaurants like these are known to use the "fast" food - and yet - are often not fast at all. Think about it . The last time I went to a fast food restaurant , how much time spent walking to your car , drive to the restaurant, waiting in line , then return to your home or office? This is probably not faster than it would have been if you have prepared your own food.

What is more worrying is that the time factor is very difficult to make sound decisions in a fast food restaurant . Despite recent health offers , menus still tend to include foods rich in fat, sugar and calories and low in fiber and nutrients. According to a 15 large multicenter study funded by the National Heart, Lung and

Blood Institute ( NHLBI ) , those who ate at fast-food more than twice a week, compared to less than once a week had gained an extra 10 pounds and had a doubling of increase of insulin resistance , a risk factor for type 2 diabetes .Everyday Fast Food
